I support the Public Option (Medicare Buy In), it is the best choice.

This bill will help resolve the cost problem related to Health Insurance. In short, it should be cheaper to buy into Medicare than to buy private insurance, creating competition, and forcing the private oglichopolies to lower their costs. This bill represents the spirit of Capitalism.

I would be very interested in seeing the cost differentials for the six different age catagories. Sounds like they are going to rate them simularly to private insurance carriers.

Problem? I’d imagine that if Private companies can’t discriminate based on age, PEC’s, or etc. now, neither can Medicare. We’ll have to see how this plays out.

Obama repeatedly promised to offer a public option in order to “keep the insurance companies honest” throughout his campaign and then conveniently left that part out of health care reform all together. Insurance companies paid for (aka spent millions on lobbying) the health care reform to be watered down so they’re stock price wouldn’t fall. In other words, reform like this is long overdue.

I support this bill. It was introduced and passed of to the Ways and Means committee. What is the next step now?

Well its seems to be moving slowly. I guess a vote is needed for it to go forward.
