I reject this bill due to the following provisions:

    (5) anti-Semitism at the United Nations; and
    (6) Israel’s inclusion in the Western European and Others Group

With regards to term anti-Semitism, it needs to be removed from political lexicon as something so pervasive or unique, and simply contextualized within the broader travesty that is discrimination of any kind. This also means there can be no separate consideration for anti-Semitism while ethnic discrimination against others – most notably in this case against Palestinian Arabs – is allowed to remain a common practice.

Israel should not be allowed into the WEOG, even on a provisional basis, until they agree to adhere to the basic ethical standard of other member nations, which necessarily includes ceasing and desisting all colonialist and oppressive action.
