This bill has a few ambiguities that need to be addressed before it should even be considered. An open ended check for ‘UNHCR’, being one of them. As it stands in this bill, before UNHCR makes a demand for money, congress is proposing to send 3.1billion dollars. Which by itself isn’t necessarily objectionable, but then add an open ended check. UNHCR can determine that it needs 1billion so asks for 3billion and the US will be REQUIRED to pay 1.5billion or more.

In addition, this bill states a statistic that the US has only allowed 20,000 refugees within her borders. However, we have how many ILLEGAL aliens/refugees that we are ALREADY paying for? We pay for millions of illegal people within our borders already. It is an unfair assessment of United State’s obligations. If we weren’t already taking care of people, who by law, shouldn’t be here, we might be able to take care of few more of the Iraqi refugees.

And, the statistic doesn’t state how many have REQUESTED to even come to America. According to media sources, the United states is evil in the eyes of Islamic world, to which the vast majority of Iraqi people ascribes to. Do the Iraqi refugees even want to be here? Where is that statistic by which we can compare and make an educated decision?

This looks more like a pay-off to countries that really don’t like us and certainly would like us gone! It’s time for the new Iraqi government to step up and make their peace with their neighbors.

The last thing we need is for the UNHCR to get involved in Iraq. Things appear to be working themselves out and bringing the UN can do nothing to improve any situation. Remember Darfur!!

Please, Obama/President is responsible for overseeing the transparency? No one finds that shocking?

Sticking our nose in others countries affairs is what got us into this mess in the first place. On top of that, our country is going bankrupt and we are wanting to send unlimited funds out of country? I think not. Not even 1 cent should leave except to pay our debt, until our defecit has returned to zero.
