A royalty on federal lands. Like Obama’s trip to Canada? Oil and lumber? This won’t work because the provinces refuse to pay the federal tax and take the resources anyway. States just need to refuse to pay the tax and sell the minerals anyway.

Why do you all want to tax us into oblivian? LEAVE OUR PUBLIC LANDS ALONE! WE DESERVE TO USE THESE LANDS AS PART OF OUR RIGHTS AND OUR LIBERTY UNDER THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES! WE ALL DESERVE THE RIGHT TO A LIFE AND LIVELYHOOD!

this not only affects the large mining companies, this is another attempt to keep tax paying citizens from being able to use public lands. notice the part where even an Indian tribe has the right to stop people from using public land? this isn’t a cleanup bill, this isn’t a make the big man pay, this is a keep the rightful owners of the land off the land and not let them use it bill.

This law will kill the mining industry in the United States, and make us more dependent upon foreign nations to supply the strategic resource that America needs.

This legislation will cost the American people thousands of good high paying jobs in the mining industry. We need more jobs that pay a living wage, not more minimum wage jobs.

It unfairly burdens the small miners who are scratching out an existance off the land, and results in double taxation, Royalties and income taxes.

First they killed the timber industry, now thay are killing the mining industry. What is next?
