Why are all of Representative Jackson-Lee’s bills race related??? Does this woman do anything on the hill that is productive and meaningful to ALL of her constituents?

Another attempt to punish someone for thinking wrong.

While racism is deplorable, this bill is at best a waste of time and at worst yet another dent in both freedom of speech and freedom of thought.

Just because someone is offended by a display of a swastika, American flag, yin-yang, or even a noose (yes even that Ms Jackson-Lee) doesn’t mean it should be criminal, let alone a special ‘hate’ crime. The law should be the law for everyone, respecting everyone’s liberty equally.

    I agree ether.

It would be an entirely different story if someone were to hang a noose, burning cross, etc. in or on another person’s yard or property. What a person does in their own yard or on their own property is their own business.

Okay this bill is a bit much. There are more important things to fix than this.
