Sounds great. Would be even better if the bailouts were only funded by these donations.

I’m sure our representatives would be the first in line to contribute!

So, if you can’t figure out anything else to donate to, just give your money to the government. They’ll put it towards something good – like giving to the banks…

Don’t we already ‘donate’ to the government? In the form of taxes?

  • calsr 02/25/2009 5:15pm

Why waste time amending the tax code? Abolish the IRS!!

  • whosetosay 02/27/2009 9:09am

These folks are shameless! Aren’t they already taking enough of our money? So now, in addition, they want us to voluntarily give them more???? For crying out loud, don’t we have more important issues at hand than for them to be worrying about this kind of junk?

  • ikinya6 03/25/2009 11:41am

I’m all for it! Those big wigs who these liberal politicians claim are telling them they don’t need the tax refunds are more than welcome to return them to the treasury. Let it pass and see how many actually do it. Despite all the retoric, such an option will make people realize that the money really is theirs, and not Uncle Sam’s.

Why don’t we have a bill requiring the IRS to tell us what they are spending our tax money on?

Because this is what the list of expenses would look like:
    1. Rockefellers
    2. Rothchilds
