Proposing an amendment to the Constitution of the United States relating to limitations on the amounts of contributions and expenditures that may be made in connection with campaigns for election to public office.

I think it shouldnt be ho much is contributed it should be who is contributing, If the people are NOT Americans citizens they should not be allowed to donate money. Plus Church organization is going against their extempt laws of their taxes in donating money and it is going against the Separation of church and states.

I always thought those who are elected to be part of the Govt offices they are suppose to follow the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and the Amendments.

Non-citizens already can’t contribute to political campaigns (legally anyway).

    Lara,

Read the constitution…word for word…there is no statement “seperation of church and state”. Read and understand don’t just believe what you hear.

Vote No. Congress does not need any more power – they are creating enough of a mess without giving them the authority to direct how people use their personal funds.

This proposed amendment does not address the root problem of corporate personhood.
