    I enthusiastically support the recognition of those providing service on Martin Luther King Jr. day. There are many parts of this country where increase dialog and balance of perspective are soarly needed. This presidential election and this small resolution send a very clear message to and a little light of hope to those dark corners of our country.

    It is always nice to see the government encouraging volunteerism (not mandating it), instead of just spending money on the problem.
