(a) Clause 2(e) of rule XI of the Rules of the House of Representatives is amended by adding the following subparagraph:CommentsClose CommentsPermalink
‘(5)(A) Not later than 24 hours after commencing a meeting to consider a measure or matter, the chair of such committee shall cause the text of such measure or matter to be made publicly available in an electronic form.CommentsClose CommentsPermalink
‘(B) Not later than 24 hours after the adoption of any amendment to a measure or matter considered by a committee, the chair of such committee shall cause the text of each such amendment to be made publicly available in an electronic form.’.CommentsClose CommentsPermalink
(b) Clause 3(a)(1) of rule XIII is amended by striking ‘and’ at the end of subdivision (A), striking the period and inserting a semicolon at the end of subdivision (B), and adding the following subdivision:CommentsClose CommentsPermalink
‘(C) shall not include recommended amendments made to such measure or matter after it was ordered reported except technical and conforming changes authorized by the committee to correct section numbers, cross-references, punctuation, grammar, spelling, or to maintain mathematical consistency.’.CommentsClose CommentsPermalink
