A pay as you go is a great idea but if Congress and the President is not held to the same standards of the nations CEO’s are then it is a waste. I think that all members of Congress and the President should get $1 salary for the year after a year that the budget was not balanced with real numbers and not projected number. Anyone can use accounting tricks to make it appear that the budget was balanced. Such accounting tricks gave us Enron, and the current Banking problem.
This bill is ironic given that the present administration’s budget. How about some transparency and having big budget legislation take a just a little more time for proper evaluation by the public and those voting on it. Also not vote on bills for political expedience and wait unti the bills and laws are fully defined and not having 150+ “to be studied” lines. Once we have full defined bills, determining their true cost becomes alot easier, and accountable.
