I had been planning to buy my first house this summer for more than a year. With the $8,000 tax credit that was passed, I had to pay at least $10k-$20k more in purchase price, and I was lucky to get one just before the market “turned bad for buyers.” Government programs to “help the poor” are generally designed to rip them off or otherwise ruin their lives.
Also this bill is unconstitutional, making it illegal, and the senators, who swore to uphold the Constitution should be impeached for trying to push it, being in direct violation of their oath of office. There is nothing in the constitution allowing for the Federal government to legislate home purchases, so the 9th and 10th amendments ban such legislation.
The federal government giving my back some of MY hard earned tax dollars to purchase a home for my family and me? It’s a brilliant move, and one that needs to be extended. This tax credit has stabilized the housing markets in many areas around the country, and is fueling growth where there was none.
I hope our elected officials see the benefit of this tax credit and extend it in its current format for at least another 6 months.
I applaud them for this and hope it’s extended. It would be a serious mistake to pull out now.
This is a wonderful opinion. The things mentioned are great and
needs to be appreciated by everyone.Best Travel
