does anyone know when they are gunna vote on the unemployment exstension? oh and the pell grant for school blows big time my only income last year was unemployment so i only got a 950 pell grant not enough for school very misleading it is

The senators and governmental leaders do appear to be fully entrenched in legilating for the health care reform bill as I’ve also been watching this live for past 14 mnt’s, very boring but Max and his counterparts seem much more inclined to debate on this issue, hate to admit but it is what it is.
Agree that without question this bill should be voted on and passed by next Friday at the ABSOLUTE VERY LATEST, PERIOD. Even if they have to all debate on it next Tue, Wed, & Thu, that is fine in getting it right however it should be on barrack’s desk by next Sat. or Sunday and expect it will be.
The end of next week is too late, by the time it passes and eventually ends up on the President’s desk.
Whats the day are they suppose to review the bill? again!
I’d love to sit down with senator Snowe one on one , she just seems like a tough hard nosed person but is willing to listen to anybody that cares and has realistic views and intellect backing them. Same thing for the Michigan senator, sabetenow (sorry spelling) she definately from what Ive heard of her listens to her state people and others with serious unemployment problems.
SOMETHING NEEDS TO PASS NEXT WEEK!!! WE NEED OUR CHECKS, NOT HAVE A HUGE GAP! I WONDER HOW SENATE WOULD LIKE TO BE UNEMPLOYED WHEN THE NEXT VOTE COMES UP!

I think they waited hoping we fall off the statistics and find a job. The only issue is NO JOBS. The economy will never improve until our lives improve.
That is a good idea!!!!!! I won’t be voting for the ones in office right now I want a change in congress too. Need to do something I have been without for 5 weeks now can’t pay rent food food pantry. Streching it !!!!!! Going to set up my tent can’t afford a heater for it and winter coming but I guess it is better than being in the elments outright.

Congressional leader only have to do 1 term and will be paid retirement by the US Government for the rest of their lives courtesy of the TAXPAYERS of United States. So they will NEVER be in that line. Also, when they get caught in scandals and are convicted (happens more than you know) or have to go to jail which is RARE, they still get the retirement courtest of US.
THE POINT IS IF THEY ARE VOTED OUT THEY HAVE NO POWER, AND THEY ARE ALL POWER HUNGRY MONEY GRABBING SOB’S!
Flood the news media and they will get a STRAIGHT time frame from these Senators instead of lip service. Sen.Schumer didn’t give a answer as to when the bill will be presented on the floor AND this is for a reason. These Senators are slick as oil on a rain-soaked wooden floor. Lets keep in mind that the states will probably need at least 2wks AFTER the bill is passed to get set-up again. S.1699 must be on the floor NEXT week. I am very disappointed in President Obama because he sure spoke up for “Cash for Clunkers” and BOTH houses passed that bill in 4 days!.
I wish people would stop with the misinformation about Cash for Clunkers. Whatever anyone’s opinion about the program itself, it did NOT pass in 4 days! This is an internet myth that seems to have spread and is good for hollering points.
The bill took about a month to pass from when it was introduced. The only thing that happened in about a week was the authorization of the extra 2 billion over the original 1 billion needed because the program was catching on like hotcakes.
Nancy they need to get off there A**es and start working on helping us. Really… If i dont have money and stuff ill go out and go look for illegals who have jobs and report them. Because this is not right that we have to suffer!!!!!! i dont wanna deal with this

The senate could have waited on s1699 being they are .. working on a proposal to extend unemployment insurance benefits to all unemployed people,
Any move by the Senate finance panel to move benefits extension legislation would likely have to wait until after the committee concludes consideration of health-care legislation.

I would like your opinion on my situation here in Pennsylvania. I mailed my last EB claim (79th week) on Sunday September 20th. If the new legislation passes would I continue on mail claims (job search) as I did with EB or would I go back to claiming online as I did with EUC?

you will not have to send in work search sheets. Unless they put it into the bill or something since this is EUC not EB
But they can always make us do that.
AND IM GETTING F’en tired of them changing bills all the time lets get 1 bill and pass it through. Its getting ridiculous idc what this bill does and doesnt do. Let just hurry up and get it passed for everyone
