+1 if you think obama, pelosi, ried, congress are failing, liars, and not truthfully helping us all they can. +1 if your going to vote everyone out of office this november. +1 if you want extended unemployment benefits now instead of excuses that the gop is blocking it!

5.Many people will never forget when someone turns their back on them when they need them the most. In turn things like this create life long grudges and hatred. The Republicans tried to do the same thing during the Great Depression by blocking social spending, and in turn the Democrats and FDR ushered in the New Deal and took over for over two decades afterwards, talk about voters at that time holding a grudge against Republicans! .

After the last unemployment extension expired, it came up for a vote for renewal with H.R. 4213. H.R. 4213 would extend unemployment benefits up to tier 4 to millions of American families who needed it the most. Millions of American families waited to see how the Senate would cast their vote.

55 out of 57 Democrats voted YES = 96%.

39 out of 41 Republicans voted No/Abstain = 95%

What has happened with this board? I am long term unemployed and in the past have used this board as a lifeline to the lateast unemployment news. The clarifications from Nancy and others kept me so updated and clarified any questions anyone had. We were all working together for the same common goal. Unemployment benefits until the economy improves. Guess I won’t need to check back until April 12th. Until then and going forward, can we get back to helping each other, please?

Yes, it is sad to see what has happened to this board, due to a few individuals. Wish that the moderator would do something to help get this board back to the helpful, informative resource it has been in the past. The only you can do is completely ignore the trolls that come here to spew their garbage.

this is just freaking great they are now using tax payer money to train foreigners to do our jobs.

“a hand-picked Obama appointee has launched a $36 million program to train workers, including 3,000 specialists in IT and related functions, in South Asia

Following their training, the tech workers will be placed with outsourcing vendors in the region that provide offshore IT and business services to American companies looking to take advantage of the Asian subcontinent’s low labor costs. "

Do Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, Ed Schultz, and Michael Moore live in a shack?
Demican, Republicrat, is there a difference? Remember when Ross Perot spoke about that “giant sucking sound of jobs leaving this country” back in 1992? (NAFTA).
The elitists above do not care about you.

With real unemployment close to 20%, this country is headed for a second round of disastrous economic news which could plunge us into depression. Right now, we’re in the eye of the hurricane and the worst may be yet to come. Forget manufacturing activity and look at non manufacturing activity and overall job losses and you’ll quickly realize that nothing has improved for the past 18 months. We just take bad news and say it’s NOT AS BAD AS EXPECTED. That won’t work forever.

Just got back from Help for Homeowners Community Event here in Denver.
Drove 52 miles round trip, waited 3 hours to talk to a “counselor”.
They told me to go get a job at McDonalds or Walmart and pay my mortgage!

Where is all the money going for this program?
Are they helping anybody who has lost their job/career at no fault of their own? Anybody, please post if you have had success in a modification.

be careful Victoria when you attack other people! your exact address and phone number is known so don’t post other people’s contact information if you’re not willing to share your own! Treat others how you want to be treated! instead of “goggling” for n0bama4me just because you dont agree with him, maybe you should “goggle” job openings so you can find a job and do something productive with your “free goggle time” i dont always agree with n0bama but the amount of hypocritical rants about him are kind of childish now. if you can talk so can he. if you can comment so can he. we are not hitlers that stiffle out anyone responding to our comments. good grief. you guys and your double standards!? hey vl – that is not nobama, there are a lot of nobamas out there even more than 1 on this forum! i have your ip address and isp so when you say info is public watch what you wish for.

no this was another stunt to help the banks. remember government motors? how come i can fail and not get a bailout but a big corrupt company can fail and take all our money and continue to f-ck us over (gm)? they should have been allowed to fail like the rest of us. let those ceo’s look for a job like us. instead without our blessing they took our money and gave it to gm! and they told us “we” the people own gm now? where is my cash then? where are my shares of gm on paper?

because it shows we are starting to win, it points out that they are not ignoring us anymore, they have moved onto laughing at us, benefits only for state above 10% is an insult, its patronizing that they went home without voting. It means they are fixing to start fighting us, then we are going to win.

You realize that comments like the one you just made and make often are the reasons the unemployed can’t unite and get anything done.

When you make comments like;
everyone unite as long as you are not a republican.
Everyone unite as long as you hate the tea party
everyone unite but only if you love oboma.
everyone unite but only if you agreed with the new health care plan. Everyone unite but only if you only vote for democrats.
everyone unite but only if you disagree with Arizona’s new immigration law.

Why can’t you set aside all of the other crap and just unite to extend unemployment benefits?

Your comments do not unite people ,your comments cause division and infighting and do no good for the unemployed.

A force to be reckoned with? how is it a reckoning if the force your trying to create says " we demand that you extend unemployment benefits but if you don;t we are going to vote for you anyway because your awesome and we will love you no matter what you do"

canada why would we vote democrat when they have had control of the congress for nearly 2 years and control the white house for over a year and have failed us worse than anything in history. they have outspent more than anyone in less time and are the most corrupt system in history. why would we vote democrat rofl. your just worried because you know the republicans have got this election fair and square by landslide thanks to people like pelosi/reid/obama who are complete corrupt failures. guess what they don’t care about you. vote republican w00t

good point that some miss here. they had their chance and failed already putting this country into deeper debt than ever before plus making things so much worse in such a little amount of time it’s amazing enough. i’m sane and will not vote democrat ever again. there is/was no change. yes we can was some stalanist catchy tune the dems used to get votes and draw the crowds with a communist phrase. simple psychology. they ran with those phrases and a lot of ignorant people bought into it. but see where it got us? what a mess indeed!
