U.S. Senate Bill 1733 – Promotes Nuclear Power & Coal Industries While Enriching Venture Capitalists, Banks & Wall Street at Taxpayer Expense
SAY “NO” TO BRINGING ANY NUCLEAR WASTE INTO THE UNITED STATES FOR PROCESSING & STORAGE. (U.S. House of Representatives Hearings on October 16, 2009 Broadcast on C-SPAN. This critical issue should be addressed today before this becomes a standard policy of the United States.
The United States, under President Obama, is allowing U.S. Energy Secretary Steven Chu to make agreements with foreign countries (already alleged to have signed an agreement with Italy), to bring in radioactive waste into the United States for processing and storage.
The United States is now in the process of importing low-level radioactive waste from foreign countries. Energy Secretary Chu has signed an agreement in 2009, with Italy, to take their radioactive waste.

The Global Warming Cult has been exposed, any politician supporting anything to the contrary is on the payroll and needs to be replaced.

Another massive bill. About 800 pages now… I’m certain it drones on about a lot more than clean energy in there. You could even hide a bomb in that stack of papers.

I’m all for clean energy, being independent of fossil fuels (they ARE finite in supply), and jobs. Just not from the government. Government workers are paid at taxpayer expense. They should be working honestly in the private sector, being paid voluntarily by their employers, not funded by government extortion.

As for the transition to clean energy, government intervention can only screw it up. There are various companies making solar panels out there. Private citizens often voluntarily install solar panels to save on energy. Why does the government have to butt in? There is already a private transition to alternative energy taking place. When oil supply falls short and prices rise, if that transition isn’t already fast, you can bet your ass it will be.

In the meantime, WTF 800 PAGES?!

The government needs to stop using environmentalism as an excuse to extend totalitarian control over our lives.

Which is worse: living on a planet that’s a tiny bit warmer? Or living under a totalitarian government that controls everything you buy, everything you do?

Give me liberty, or give me death.

There’s a lot more that goes into the environment than the world getting a little hotter. Global warming is natural process and accelerated by our activities. We could really benefit from alternative sources for a cleaner earth. Don’t feel so entitled to destroy something just because you can. We all could use a little assistance to have affordable, clean resources to be a better global citizen. We can’t rely on the general public to make the ethical decision because they remain ignorant and lazy, plus we are just putting children futures at stake.

In early 2008, Obama said “my energy prolicy will necessarily cause electric bills to skyrocket.”. Google this quotation for video of him saying it.

Where in this statement can anyone with more than 2 brain cells firing think that energy will become “more affordable”?

I am first a citizen of the United States and of the world a distant second.
This country allows me freedoms not seen ANYWHERE else on this globe.
And I will fight this current regime who keeps trying to take them away!

As far as the public remaining ignorant and lazy… This gov’t WANTS US THIS WAY! People like that are easy to fool!
So don’t be ignorant! There are many millions more like me out there and we are becoming larger everyday!

Although environmentally friendly business practices should be encouraged, cap and trade is the wrong way to do so.

There are a lot of reasons to be environmentally friendly. Stopping our dependance on oil is one. We also all know that Global warming is an alarmist scam to grab power. This bill is how the oil companies (That’s right the oil companies) grab power. If you are a real environmentalist you will block this bill. And while your at it get ride of your Prius. Its oversized batteries are killing its fuel mileage and contaminating my water. Geo Metro’s have been getting better mileage since the early 90’s.

How many times is the name going to change before this bill is killed? It’s a scam, read it!
Cap and trade puffs of smoke, started in Chicago by Obama and a few friends “CCX”.
“We the People” are on to your scam!!!! Propaganda will only work on the stupid. I pray there is enough intelligent to see through this phony bill.

Obama and freinds know that if a piece of proposed legistlation gets “bad press” (i.e. contents & effects become public), they will change the name attempting to fool us. Except for those of us watching these dispicable bozos at work, most will be fooled.

Ever notice that they pick names for bills that sound so good and so noble?
If they were even half-honest, they would at least call these moves toward total government control (naturally leading to tyranny) what they really are. But they know that only the most leftist, socialistic, & communistic people would support the bills. And, that the bills would NEVER pass with that minority.

Expect a “sea change” in congress next year!

We need to vote for those who will undo the damage this group of socialists has been (and will be) imposing upon us and get us back on track to employment, properity and, most importantly, FREEDOM!

If Al Gore really believed in Global Warming, he would be living in a tiny mud house with a grass roof powered by wind/solar energy (or with Ed Begley Jr. because I don’t think Al Gore would ever ride a bicycle to power his own toaster). Instead, he just purchased a SECOND energy-eating mansion (6,500 square feet with a price tag of $8,875,000) overlooking the Pacific in Montecito, CA just up the coast from Santa Barbara. Did he forget that the melting polar ice caps are soon going to swallow up the coastlines? The new Gore mansion comes with a swimming pool, spa, fountains, six fireplaces, five bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Let’s not forget his other home in Tennessee that “burns energy at 12 times the rate of the ordinary U.S. household, and uses more electricity in one month than most American homes use in a year”.

The purpose of the bill is to drive energy prices high enough to reduce consumption. In effect, consumers would be forced to pay more for less energy. Higher energy costs would spread throughout the economy as producers everywhere try to cover their higher production costs by raising their product prices…, further impacting consumers.APA attempts to shield the economic pain from consumers by passing two-thirds of the carbon permit revenue back to the consumer through energy discounts or direct rebates. This leaves 33 percent of the revenue to go elsewhere. Regardless, these rebates would clearly not compensate for the higher energy prices that impact all the goods and services consumers purchase.

This bill is another bill that is cap and trade, which redistributes our tax money to others who may not contribute to society. I will not be taxed for air or energy.
