    This is a good start but I prefer for them not to call at all. It’s like beggars on the street coming into your home soliciting. Lets go one step farther and have a bill terminating telemarketers.

    I agree that is a good start however I wonder how many of us would really answer the phone if we saw that it was a telemarketing company calling. One thing that we have to keep in mind is that the people calling us are only doing their jobs. Some of them get paid based off connectivity during calls…if we don’t answer, someone is not getting paid!

    This helps to get rid of I.D. Theft. People pretend to be banks, and then get your information.

    This seems a little bit on the harsh side.. I don’t feel it would help ANYTHING to do with telemarketers, all this bill would end up being used for, is being used against regular every-day american people, just as others such as the Patriot act and soforth, have been..
    We need to take a closer look at the depth of those who are suppose to be representing us in the capital, and act accordingly.
