3/16/2010--Introduced.Long Island Sound Restoration and Stewardship Act - Amends the Federal Water Pollution Control Act (commonly known as the Clean Water Act) to expand the duties of the Office of Management Conference of the Long Island Sound Study by requiring the Office to cooperate with other federal agencies which have jurisdiction over Long Island Sound and with national and regional marine monitoring and research programs established pursuant to the Marine Protection, Research, and Sanctuaries Act. Amends the Long Island Sound Stewardship Act of 2006 to terminate the Long Island Sound Stewardship Advisory Committee on December 31, 2015 (currently 2011). Declares that the Federal Advisory Committee Act does not apply to the Advisory Committee or to any board, committee, or other group established under the Long Island Sound Stewardship Act of 2006. Extends reporting requirements by requiring the Advisory Committee to submit to the Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency Act (EPA) and the decision making body of the Long Island Sound Study Management Conference an annual report through FY2015 on stewardship sites. Extends through FY2015 the authorization of appropriations to the Administrator for the implementation of the Management Conference of the Long Island Sound Study. Extends and increases the authorization for the Long Island Sound Grants. Authorizes such sums as are necessary (currently, $25 million through FY2011) through FY2015 for the Long Island Sound Stewardship Act of 2006....Read the Rest
