9/27/2010--Reported to Senate amended. Susquehanna Gateway National Heritage Area Act - Establishes the Susquehanna Gateway National Heritage Area in Pennsylvania. Requires the inclusion of Lancaster and York Counties within the boundaries of the Area. Designates the Susquehanna Heritage C

Official Summary

9/27/2010--Reported to Senate amended. Susquehanna Gateway National Heritage Area Act - Establishes the Susquehanna Gateway National Heritage Area in Pennsylvania. Requires the inclusion of Lancaster and York Counties within the boundaries of the Area. Designates the Susquehanna Heritage Corporation as the local coordinating entity for the Area. Prohibits the Corporation from using federal funds under this Act for the acquisition of real property or any interest in real property. Requires the Corporation to prepare and submit a management plan for the Area and sets forth procedures for its approval or disapproval. Authorizes appropriations. Limits the federal cost share for any activity carried out using funds under this Act to half of that activity's cost. Terminates the authority of the Secretary of the Interior to provide financial assistance under this Act 15 years after its enactment.
