    I agree. This is embarrassing. This is a great example of why we do not want government run health care. If they can’t get this right, do we want them scheduling a surgery for us? “Mr. Johnson, you need emergency surgery in the next 12 hours or you are going to die!… we can fit you in sometime in 2013.”

    Anyone who hasn’t figured it out yet won’t figure it out until their TV goes snowy on them.

    I’m sure they can live a day or two until they go buy a converter.

    Lets just rip the band-aid off and be over with it.

    The problem is that digital broadcasts don’t reach many rural areas, where as their previous broadcasts do. Which means, even with a converter box, millions of Americans will lose their reception. This means that there will be less people watching, which means tv companies will get less in advertising dollars, which annoys the big wig executives. So this has the poor pissed off and the rich pissed off. When that happens, you see a bill like this.
