To amend the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act to enhance existing programs providing mitigation assistance by encouraging States to adopt and actively enforce State building codes, and for other purposes.

I support H.R.2069 - Safe Building Code Incentive Act of 2011, and am tracking it using OpenCongress.org, the free public resource website for government transparency and accountability.

As a Special Inspector of Commercial/Industrial facilities, I see the benefit of stricter enforcement of modern building codes on a daily basis. This is a great opportunity to incentivize states to get on board.
