This is an inhumane bill. Legalizing the commercial slaughter of horses is wrong.
I dont know who, But as I recall some general had stated he knew his enemy was defeated when they started eating they’re horses.
I second that, ryan6432. It wasn’t a bill that was only legalizing horse slaughter but none the less, it now provides the funds for inspection,etc, which will allow it to happen. The only reason it wasn’t legal to slaughter horses prior to this bill was the fact there was no funding for the inspections so legal horse slaughter was still tethering on a line and this is what cut it.
What needs to happen now is a dedicated bill making horse slaughter illegal in the U.S. in plain english with no stipulations.
Look back at our struggle for freedom,

Is strewn with the bones of the horse.
