This bill would impact the 2009 health care reform law by adding Social Security benefits to the formula used for calculating whether an individual is eligible for Medicaid or government health insurance subsidies. According to the Congressional Budget Office, under the bill between 500,000 and 1 million fewer people would be eligible for Medicaid each year.
