I am writing as your constituent in the 4th Congressional district of Indiana. I support H.R.2701 - Main Street Fairness Act. As a small business retailer in Greenwood, I'm trying to keep my doors open in this difficult economy. Presently, my main competition is from on-line retailers who take advantage of a 7% (sales tax) structural loophole provided to internet users who do not declare their purchases on their state tax returns.
