Official Summary

12/20/2011--Introduced.Fairness In Restrooms Existing in Stations Act or the FIRE Stations Act - Directs the Secretary of Homeland Security (DHS) to:
(1) make grants to enable fire stations to establish or upgrade restroom, shower, and changing facilities to create more equitable conditions for women firefighters; and
(2) give priority to stations that have chemical facilities, refineries, and other high-risk industries within their jurisdiction. Conditions grant eligibility on submission of an application that demonstrates that:
(1) the station has a commitment to increasing the number of women firefighters, and
(2) no grant funds will be used to displace personnel.
