Dear Senators Feinstein and Boxer,
Please oppose any movement in the Senate on HR 4089, the "Sportsmen's Heritage Act". It is my understanding that this legislation will gut the most important protections granted by the Wilderness Act. The net impact will be worse ecosystem health in our wilderness areas, and an unlikely benefit to those who actually do hunt on these lands under the current law. Please oppose this legislation.
Sincerely,
Tim Aldinger -

This is just plain ridiculous. I support the right to own and use a gun whether for self defense, hunting, the joy of hearing things go BOOM, or even just collecting, but I have a hard time believing that gun owners currently have any shortage of places where they can enjoy these privileges. What I am disturbed about is the way that this bill attacks on a fundamental level the traditional use of and reason for existence of our national parks and wilderness areas. I think, by definition, a wil...

This bill's most-recent vote occurred on April 17, 2012, with a roll call of 274 ayes, 146 nays, and 11 not voting. I am absolutely apalled by this. Either representatives do not clearly understand what this bill means or corruption ...
