Please understand, this is not COMPLETELY forgiving the entire loan amount, it just serves as a vehicle to level the playing field. Trust me it's much better than writing everything off in 100% Forgiveness, or the HUGE loss the country would take if every student loan borrower were to suddenly file bankruptcy...Before you disparage, READ what the bill actually does, and how it prevents this from happening again!
