Just goes to show how useless both Democrats and Republicans are when it comes to defending basic freedoms. Vote Libertarian.

We supposedly fought for our freedom in all of these recent wars only to have Congress and the president take our freedoms away with bills such as the “Patriot Act” which they rammed through Congress, without allowing Congress time to read it.

Up for vote tomorrow— don’t extend it, repeal it! Call your reps and tell them to vote no.

As this resolution moves through the senate we must contact our local senators and tell them to NOT SUPPORT the Patriot Act. We must stay vigilant, hold our congressmen accountable for their votes and continue to let them know how we feel! The Patriot Act is nothing short of complete tyranny and tyranny doesn’t discriminate. Our nation is a constitutional republic not a democracy and “We the people” need to start acting like it…

praise the Republicans and Democrats who voted against it and shame on the Democrats and Republicans who voted for it and shame on the White House for supporting it.

Welp, this blows. One day is all it took for this sucker to slip past the house and the senate. The best defenses our country has against malicious and invasive law making bodies.

Next round’s in December! Everybody come back, yah hear? A bill doesn’t get a 6% public approval rating by handing out candy and sunshine to starving children. Know what I’m saying?

End patriot act, end NDAA, end Homeland Security.. It’s all overly-intrusive, and has offered minimal to NO proof of actually “reducing” terrorism.
All it does, is give the government full access to harass Americans, who otherwise would have no reason to be BEING harassed/stalked by the government.
The federal law enforcement agencies KNOW who the terrorists ARE, and it’s NOT just random American citizens! It’s came out, since Katrina and some of these natural disasters, that Homeland Security actually hampered recovery/assistance efforts by emergency personnel in the process of helping Katrina refugees who otherwise NEEDED and would have greatly appriciated the efforts of those agencies.
I’m fairly certain, the American people ARE Homeland Security, we don’t need a government agency standing in opposition, claiming they’re doing a job when they’re NOT. This is NOT a dictatorship, it’s a democracy, and it’s time to let those in charge be aware of that.
