And as I watch the powers at be think they can crush Occupy by shutting down camps that housed a tiny representation of our numbers, while some try to co-opt us at the same time my smirk grows.

We put tens of thousands on the streets of NYC on very short notice.

Now groups of Occupy are popping up out of nowhere at political events like black ops…

And during this long dark winter of discontent Occupy will be lighting up the electronic airwaves as they communicate, grow, and strategize.

The days of those that got super rich by trampling countless others will end. The days of those that made a political career of keeping their nose up the ass of those people will end.

2012…

Much has been written on 2012.

WasMiddleClass 12/08/2011 10:42pm

Lately when I listen to those trying to discredit Occupy I get a big smirk on my face.

In a few short months Occupy went to the top of the search engines top searches for 2011.

We have well over 100 million search results in that time

We made headline news over and over on all main stream media outlets.

We changed the political topic of discussion in America.

And now: Time Magazines #1 of the top 10 everything for 2011, OCCUPY!

These hands were once employed, this body once of use. Now cast aside a castigated, a figure of abuse. Those years I gave ‘em everything, count for nothing at all. I’m dying a lonely man, who used to stand ten feet tall

How has this happened, why should this be? Has the world gone mad, or is it just me? Where is my memory, where has gone my life? And the realization cuts like a knife. How has this happened, why should this be? Has the world gone mad, or is it just me? Where is my memory, where has gone my life? And the realization cuts like a knife

WasMiddleClass 12/07/2011 10:43pm

Someone sent me this in a email. It sent a chill down my spine.

Why Should This Be?

Walking round in circles, kicking my heels, kicking stones. Hands deep in my pocket, keeping myself from the cold. Turning around another corner, not seeing what there is to see. Just a wanderer tonight, I would be home to me

How has this happened, why should this be? Has the world gone mad, or is it just me? Where is my memory, where has gone my life? And the realization cuts like a knife

Catch a reflection in the window that I don’t recognize. As I look a little harder, a little more of me dies. Where has gone the proud man, the fighter, the clown. The iron hand of depression drags me further down

How has this happened, why should this be? Has the world gone mad, or is it just me? Where is my memory, where has gone my life? And the realization cuts like a knife

There are so many realities today in peoples minds that it reminds me of the Matrix movies…

For those that walk on the dark side at times, I ran across this today,

But then again there is light and dark all over…

I’m watching the happenings in the remaining Occupy camps across the country.

One thing is clear, agent provocateurs are being used to discredit many camps. People that no one involved for long in Occupy knows are popping up and starting trouble.

I wonder who they work for…..

And at the same time it seems Obama has suddenly decided to campaign on the Occupy message…

“Occupy Wall Street occupies Obama’s 2012 campaign”

I had the news on this morning and as I was half listening to it while I was doing stuff I heard someone talking that caught my attention. I thought who the heck is that? As I listened to him talk I thought wow, this guy is talking about the REAL problem of big money owning our government.

Then I heard about how they will not even let him into the debates…

I know little about him yet, but I like much of what I see so far.

WasMiddleClass 12/07/2011 11:27am

Some try to claim that Occupy is dead because some in the main stream media are talking bad about them.

I think the influence of main stream media is way overrated these days.

AOL lists Occupy as #8 in their hot searches for 2011, and shows 137,000,000 search results for it.

The paradigm is changing, and big media owned by big money is not the source of information for many now.

Maybe that is why the want to censor the web so bad…

I was reading all the FED stuff being released when HuffPost was running it. I honestly had to stop reading it because it made my blood pressure way too high.

Then i was flipping channels today and was surprised to see Jessie Venturas show on again. I thought they silenced him… It was the (very good) one on Wall Street, and even though I saw it before it made my blood pressure rise.

Funny how Occupy and the real Tea Party have so much in common. Funny how those labeled as liberals and those labeled as conservatives have so much in common in the real world too..

2)
And that’s just ONE bank! Regardless of where one stands on the issue of the Federal Reserve’s authority and functions, the glaring criminality of the big banks is breath-taking. They have literally raped the land for their own greed and selfishness.

Secret Fed Loans Gave Banks $13 Billion Undisclosed to Congress

nancym 12/04/2011 9:21am

Well, we all knew that the banks got some humongously large loans in the trillions for token interest from the Fed with no strings attached, all the while the focus was on the $700 billion for TARP (chicken feed by comparison), but now the details have come out in both the GAO report and now detailed in the news by Bloomberg reporters after their lawsuit to get that info.

$7.77, that’s TRILLION in loans, resulting in $13 billion free money for the big banks. All this is complicated in terms of how the fed works (read the rather interesting angles explained in the comments of this article), but whether anyone believes any amount of “Bank Aid” that went on was necessary or not, the line in the article that caught my attention the most was this one:

“They (lawmakers) had no clue that one bank, New York-based Morgan Stanley (MS), took $107 billion in Fed loans in September 2008, enough to pay off one-tenth of the country’s delinquent mortgages.”

A Christmas gift for OWS:

Evidence of just how much OWS has influenced the national conversation comes from Frank Luntz himself, the right-wing uber-equivalent of Lawrence Lessig on the left, i.e., the guys who make all those talking points. (Lessig tries to, but he never seems to succeed as much as Luntz.)

You are preaching to the choir my friend…

You keep using those labels like liberal and conservative yourself…

That is how they divide us. They say is you believe this you are a “liberal”, and if you believe that you are a “conservative”. But what do those labels actually mean? If you believe in one so called liberal idea, or conservative idea, you have to swallow the entire Democrat or Republican agenda? I don’t think so!

They try to get Americans wrapped up in exaggerated battles over relatively small issues, and in the end nothing really much changes for the better for the overwhelming majority no matter who wins.

I supported the original real Tea Party, and I support Occupy. They have MUCH more in common than our media wants us to believe.

Divide and conquer, the oldest game in the book…

Was you side step purdier than a Massachusetts Senator! =D

I long ago realized that the “Conservative” talk shows, While immensely popular were the downfall of the conservatives, How? well while they offer great political insights they offer ZERO solutions, And they are not even slightly interested in doing so, Infact if there is a strong candidate they quickly cripple them to even out the field. Makes for a better “Show” and that is what they are just a Show. Here is something to consider, Beck Rush and all them “Conservative” host’s are money grubbing snakes right? They dont care what they “support” just as long as they bring home the Big bucks right? I think all Liberals would agree with that.
Knowing that, then it only makes sense that Most Americans are Conservative, If it were the other way around then they would have “Liberal” talk shows. and Beck and Rush would be running down the Conservatives.

So when we play the Left Vs Right game, keep in mind that it is just a drama created by the 1% to keep the 99% squabbling amongst themselves. And not focusing on Them.

If we dont embrace ALL of the 99% we lose.

If OWS were to team with the Tea Party you would have a true 99%

Herman Cain: “If you don’t have a job… blame yourself."

Blame yourself Cain!

WasMiddleClass 12/03/2011 12:20am

Most readers here know I have never been very politically correct…

And laughs seem few and far between these days…

And some here have already expressed their opinions on Cain…

So maybe some viewers here would like to email the Cain campaign a Christmas recipe from another site…

“Now, Christmas possum is differnt from all other possum. It’s got to be caught- not killed, two weeks to a month before the cookin day. That’s right around late November. You can catchem in the hen house or up a ‘simmon tree, or in a trap. It don’t make no never mind, long as he’s caught live, ‘cause they got to be penned up so’s you can cleanem out. Feedem nothin but cornbread and milk. That’ll fixem up, fattenem out, and get rid of all them no good flavors. This makes possum as good as corn-fed pig. Then, when the time comes, killem quick, skin the rascal and git shed of all the insides.”
