6/5/2012--Introduced.Amends the Rural Electrification Act of 1936 to direct the Secretary of Agriculture (USDA) to establish a process under which an incumbent service provider providing broadband service to a remote rural area may submit to the Secretary information regarding the broadband services the provider offers in the proposed service territory so that the Secretary may assess whether a submitted application meets appropriate eligibility requirements.
