9/10/2012--Passed House without amendment. (This measure has not been amended since it was introduced. The summary of that version is repeated here.) Allows the Librarian of Congress to accept in the interest of the Library of Congress, its collections, or its service, personal property valued at $25,000 or less, nonpersonal services, or voluntary and uncompensated personal services. Requires the Librarian, in the case of a gift of securities, to sell the gift and provide the donor with a receipt from the proceeds of the sale. Requires inclusion, in each Annual Report of the Library, of a description of each gift or bequest accepted during the year involved that is valued at $1,000 or more.
