I’m the one person in favor of this simply because it is up to the Voters to determine how long some one should serve.
I agree with this in principle. But President is a very powerful position. It has happened so many times in other countries that an elected leader gets in power and then manipulates the rules and the government to keep himself in power. While our Constitution does have other protections against this, I think the only sure way to keep tyrants from becoming entrenched in office is to have simple, clear, consistent, and definite term limits. And I think it’s worth it. I would support raising term limits to 5 terms, but not removing them altogether. A really popular President could serve for 20 yrs., which is a long time, but I think at a bare minimum we need a change of leadership every 20 yrs.
The Constitution has safety checks in the event that a tyrant gets in office by voter fraud & intimidation to keep them from staying in office. This is a very good thing to have especially with the current administration.
