I would like to express my opposition to H.R. 3012 and S.1857, its
companion bill in the Senate. These bills are not fair to displaced American
workers. They are also not fair to aspiring immigrants from countries other
than India or China, who will have vastly diminished opportunities for legal
immigration should they become law.
Contrary to some misinformed proponents of these bills, immigrants from
India and China do not receive the same consideration as those from Iceland.
