1/26/2011--Introduced.Defense Level Playing Field Act - Requires the Secretary of Defense (DOD), in evaluating offers to award a contract for the KC-X aerial refueling aircraft program, to consider any unfair advantage that an offeror may possess. Directs the Secretary to:
(1) report to the congressional defense committees on any such advantage; and
(2) take into account the findings of such report in awarding a contract.

As It Stands: What happened to the real meaning of Memorial Day?

What we need is a full return to the original day of observance. On Jan. 19, 1999, Sen. Daniel Inouye introduced bill S 189 which proposed to restore the traditional day of observance of Memorial Day to May 30 instead of “the last Monday in May.”
