I ask that you oppose S.3240, the Farm bill. As a Republican, I would hope you recognize it is fiscally irresponsible to use taxpayer dollars to write welfare checks to the dairy, corn, and soy industry.
Constitutionally speaking, the federal government should not be involved in agriculture subsidization. We should let the free market determine food prices, as it successfully determines the fair prices of so many other products. If that means a gallon of cow's milk will end up costing $7, so... -
