OpenCongress Summary
A response to the Supreme Court's Citizens United v. FEC ruling, this bill seeks to increase transparency of corporate, union, and special-interest money in national political campaigns. It would require organizations involved in political campaigning to disclose the identity of donors giving over $10,000, and to reveal their identities in any political ads they fund. All independent electioneering groups would have to certify that they are not coordinating with candidates, and groups would not be allowed to transfer money between them in order to mask the actual source of the money.Official Summary
