I am writing as your constituent in the 29th Congressional district of New York. We, of the Victor 9-12 TEA party, applaud you for your dedication and willingness to serve these United States. It is without doubt that some of you have come under great pressure to veer away from that dedication in the interest of personal gain. Either yours or gain for those whose purpose is not the best for America.
You were, and perhaps still are, the breath of clean, fresh air that we, and so many like u... -

Though the bill has passed I feel it is important to voice my approval to Mr. Coats for voting Nay and my disapproval to Mr. Lugar and Mr. Young for voting Aye.
The Aug 2 deadline for a default was for the most part a scare tactic. While hon... -

Dear Senator Robert Casey,
With the passage of S. 365, could you please explain to me how you intend to represent your constituents on the debt issues of this country and other matters in S.365?
It appears to me under S. 365, Title IV, (4) MEMBERSHIP, that only the constituents of
the subcommittee will be represented on these issues.
You have been elected to office as a servant of the people, it is your responsibility to represent the people, and not delegate that power ... -

I was disappointed to read that each of you voted in favor of S.365, agreeing to raise the debt ceiling by $2.5 Trillion. I understand compromise in legislation is a nasty reality, but I would have welcomed each of y... -

Why not let the entities who got us in the debt, default? What collection agency will call them at work ten times a day? How much would it cost us to default, vs ponying up? Do you know? Oh - we won't be able to spend money to cover lost bets made by bankers.
What exactly happens if we default?
You can't answer that, can you? No. It's all speculation. Would the rich people become less rich? Then what? They no longer need groceries or landscapers? Or, if they can't make ten million dollars ... -

I oppose S.365 - Budget Control Act of 2011 using OpenCongress.org.
We can't stop the ship from sinking by knocking smaller holes in the hull. We must stop this spending binge. This 2.5 trillion will be used up in no time and we will be told that we must raise it again. I am coming to the realization that America will fall. It's just a matter of time now. I guess I can tell that to my young daughters for their bedtime story. Will there be a happy ending?
Sincerely,
Tommy May
