I have a few issues with this proposed law.

1) I believe that there is a federal law already in place which states “The government cannot collect any information relating to the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition.” (“Obama Care Act” Senate Amendment 3276 Section 2716 Part C).
2) The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that if the fire arm was not legal, then the person cannot be required to register the fire arm. This means that only law abiding people are required. This makes me question the actual purpose of the proposed law as it does not make sense to me given the way it was previously ruled.
(a) Haynes v U.S. 390 U.S. 85 (1968) – convicted felons do not have to register a firearm (if required by law) as it would be a violation of their 5th Amendment rights.
(b) U.S. v Freed, 401 U.S. 601 (1971) – registration schemes are by definition only aimed at the law abiding and felons remain exempt as it would be a violation of their 5th Amendment.
3) NFA-1934 and GCA-1968.

They shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than ten years, or both; and if death results from the acts committed in violation of this section … may be sentenced to death.

The man or woman is the killer. Be it by hand, knife , fire or gun , what needs to be looked at is the ease that some many people go right to killing.

No to any form of gun control. Gun control worked real good for Hitler and others like him and passing such laws will put us under the rule of tyrants.

I think that it is disgusting that these politicians exploit tragedies to advance their unconstitutional anti-2nd Amendment agenda. They will try to convince us that we should sacrifice safety for liberty. If we fall for their propaganda we will have neither safety nor liberty. The 2nd Amendment provides a check and balance to the Government protecting free citizens from potential tyranny. This right is not to be confused with hunting and sport. These politicians have an invested interest in disarming the public. Remember that when they say “you don’t need that to hunt.” They are not to tell us what we need or don’t need. They are to serve their country, constituents, and follow the Constitution of the United States!
