Basically, those opposed are in fact minors who want to play call of duty and don’t want to be cut off.
It should not be the responsibility of government to regulate video game ratings. Also, this bill will create barriers to entry in the video game market because video games with limited distribution may not be able to afford to have their video game rated. Regulations always create unintended consequences of higher prices and limited selection. Finally, this bill violates the first amendment by demanding that the art created by video game producers be reviewed and approved before publication . What is next ? Book ratings? Newspaper ratings?
I agree with molonlabe. It’s not the government’s job to monitor video games. Don’t they have more important issues to talk about? I think it should be the choice of the retailer if they want to sell M and AO games to minors.
