I think that it is disgusting that these politicians exploit tragedies to advance their unconstitutional anti-2nd Amendment agenda. They will try to convince us that we should sacrifice safety for liberty. If we fall for their propaganda we will have neither safety nor liberty. The 2nd Amendment provides a check and balance to the Government protecting free citizens from potential tyranny. This right is not to be confused with hunting and sport. These politicians have an invested interest in disarming the public. Remember that when they say “you don’t need that to hunt.” They are not to tell us what we need or don’t need. They are to serve their country, constituents, and follow the Constitution of the United States!

This bill does not deny the right of anyone to own any type of gun, it is simply a system for weeding out people who everyone would rather not own guns. I’m a gun owner myself and i believe that we should keep that right, but we must stop the people who would do harm with such rights, and the best way to stop them is restricting their gun ownership in the first place. Canada has a gun licensing system that includes: proper gun handling, gun safety, and gun upkeep. While many gun owners possess these skills, the dangerous ones do not! We must teach these skills to the public and prevent conflicted individuals from obtaining weapons in the first place.

I agree that certain people should not have the ability to access firearms of any sort. but we DON’T need to demonize a certain style of gun to do this. get them the help they need . Don’t infringe upon my rights because you fear the unknown. Lets fix the real problem.

A more advanced and national licensing system is a step in the right direction to decreasing gun violence. It does not remove anybody’s right to bear arms, and as such it does not infringe on 2nd amendment rights. It simply assures that those purchasing firearms are mentally strong enough to handle them.
