OpenCongress Summary

This bill seeks to change how "cyber threat intelligence" information is shared between private entities and the federal government. Several laws protecting the privacy of individuals would be voided in order to encourage private entities to share more user information with the government without a warrant. The government would be able to use the shared information for preventing cyber attacks and other law enforcement activities, and web companies would be given legal liability for sharing user information with the government in "good faith."
