I am writing as your constituent in the 8th Congressional district of Washington. Oak Flats is a national treasure. It is worth more as a preserve, as it has been since 1955. Would it be converted instead into a National Park, it could generate more continuous revenue than a copper mine would. This bill already died in the previous Congress. I think there are more pressing things to be focusing on.
