My son has been hospitalized 3 times due to the effects of him using synthetic marijuana. He now has severe depression with pshycotic features, suicidal thoughts, hallucinations, axiety, insomnia and tremors. The doctors say there is not enough research on this poison to know how long he will experience these side effects. They say he may snap out of it within months or may have to live with it for the rest of his life. It has changed him dramatically. He has his good days and he has his bad days. The bad days are very bad and I feel so helpless. I listen to him after taking drug and alcohol test and comfort him during his panic attacks. I am glad to say that I believe he is done using synthetic marijuana after this last hospitalization but I am not immune to the fact that relapse could be just around the corner.

I won’t support anything that a president who still has yet to offer that he’s actually even legally elgible to hold a political office, has supported (regardless of factors).. He can claim it’s passed into law via his signature all he wants, that don’t make it so.. This would be the views of a foreign dictator.. Welcome to the federation of America, where we are now under a dictatorship.. Have been now for the past 12 years.

speaking my mind! healthcare prices go up because of investors wanting a good pay day, but this is what advances medicine, so we are kinda screwed. people don’t purchase health insurance because the premiums are too high, and the premiums will begin to spike even more because of this, which will lead to more people dropping insurance, get the picture im painting here? once nobody can afford healthcare, the industry will collapse, and guess what, the government will be forced to step in. so what we need is to balance government subsidy with rising costs. base what people pay on what they make, i know it would make some people not want to work or whatever, but that’s a small blip in the equation.

And the civilized world giggles and points, as we drown in our greed, our fear, our bickering and our own mismanagement. Even the well meant ideas are awfully executed. It’s sad really, we were once such a pretty little nation… But it’s no longer “we” is it? Just us and them, just I’m right and you’re wrong, I am worthy and you are not. It will all burn down, if the fighting continues. And while it’s you that does it, I will burn down with you as I am powerless to stop you as small as I am. But remember as we kill us all, and drag our children with us… I bear us no ill will, if for no other reason than that we were very entertaining. That will be our legacy… late night TV and blogs. Sleep well my fellow Americans.

Actually, they are exempt from any taxation for government service income.

Nancy Pelosi is a joke and another one of Obama’s croonies, that I wouldnt vote for or wish on my worst enemy! Flush out Washington and get people in Congress who care and will LISTEN to the People and the Constitution!!

dihayden29 07/22/2010 3:41pm

I do believe we need HealthCare Reform however, I’m NOT looking at the nickels and dimes of how much it cost because there are things in life a HECK OF A LOT MORE IMPORTANT than money… It’s not a priority for those who don’t have it… What is Important is your health and Health Care should be just what it says, A way to Take Care of your Health and the Health of all the Sick, Poor and Needy. Any HealthCare Bill that cares more about $$ than the Person’s Well-being isnt HealthCare now is it? NO.

acousticism 06/22/2010 9:07pm

Why don’t we reward healthy people living healthy lives instead of trying to bucket water out of a sicking ship instead of plugging the hole?

“…why are none of you bitching about other publicly funded programs? Medicare, social security, public schools…”

Open your eyes and ears, they (we) do complain. What you fail to see is that, we have NO choice on where our tax money goes. We can’t refuse, we’ll be imprisoned or shot by the IRS mafia. But they won’t even give us a questionaire to fill out that let’s us appropriate the stolen money they’re yanking from our hands.

arcanedemesne 06/21/2010 5:08pm

Insanity. The average Ameican pays 35-40% in taxes (from income, to sales, to property, to alcohol, to every other ridiculous tax they get us on). I’m not a fan of forced taxation for the guise of socialism. But we ALREADY pay as much as some socialist states do who have state run healthcare. And now you are REQUIRING that POOR people HAVE to PAY MORE?! WTF are you thinking? And trying to skim off the top again, but only high enough so as to not dip into your salaries congress (oh, wait…is congress paid tax free?!!?!). UGH

wobles 05/18/2010 2:54pm

Extreme conservatives, why are none of you bitching about other publicly funded programs? Medicare, social security, public schools, fire departments, police? The government takes money from your paycheck every month and your state takes money for everything you buy, if you were the conservatives that you say you are you wouldn’t stop at this health care bill. The way I see extreme conservatism is that other people’s kids are not your problem, other people’s houses, cars or other property that can catch fire are not your problem. Other people’s safety is not your problem why should you pay for it? Of course its not your problem, but because they are your fellow American you put up with paying the taxes so that someday if you have to ask for help you did your part in establishing the program that can help you; its part of being a citizen of this country.

The policies that you disagree with in this bill, are they policies you’ve read about or just been told about?

Which constitutional right are you referring to? And which part of this bill violates that constitutional right?

TITLE V—MEDICARE GRADUATE MEDICAL EDUCATION

Sec. 1501. Distribution of unused residency positions. Sec. 1502. Increasing training in nonprovider settings.

By the way there isn’t a Sec. 1512.

This site has the full bill available, why try to post this bullshit here? I checked out the site and checked its source, the source doesn’t exist in the bill. The author of that website means to reference SEC. 2571. NATIONAL MEDICAL DEVICE REGISTRY. Please check out the section of the bill for yourself, no where in it does it say that everyone will be implanted or kids will be implanted when they are born. There is no program called CHIP in this bill and we are not going to be tracked like slaves. Your paranoia is unfounded, there are no death panels (SEC. 223. HEALTH BENEFITS ADVISORY COMMITTEE.), the government isn’t going to pull the plug on granny, and you are not going to be micro chipped.

There is a big difference in the two scenarios, choice and force. With the benefit, no one had to help his friend at all, but they made the ‘choice’ to do so regardless whether they knew him. With the bill, you are no longer given that choice, but are ‘forced’.

Freedom is the power to determine your actions.

The people at the benefit chose to use that freedom by donating money to help someone else and should be applauded for being responsible. This bill is simply another freedom we’re being denied, because we aren’t considered responsible enough toward our fellow men to do so ourselves.

in reply to Abatts1 Oct 29, 2009 11:12am

Wait, I’m confused Abatts1. You held a benefit to help your friend with his medical bills but you don’t want to pay other people’s bills. I mean, I know you know this guy, but I’m sure that everyone who donated didn’t. What’s the difference? You’re not making a clear and concise point. Basically you’re saying that if you don’t know the person then you don’t want to pay for their bills. But, at the same time, you’re expecting others to foot somebody’s bill out of good will for the mere fact that you know the guy. That’s the twisted logic that is ruining America. If the problem in not on your front door then you don’t want to deal with it.

NYER566 03/22/2010 10:31am

This bill is unconstitutional! It is a travesty for American citizens! i hope N.Y sues along with other states! We don’t want it!

Since you are an attorney then you should understand the bill is forcing citizens to purchase a private industry product which is unconstitutional as we are a somewhat free nation. Oh those bad insurance will stand to benefit by millions and millions of dollars. So I believe sir you should read the bill and not just listen to the news channels stating what they take away from the bill. This is a historical moment as it is the beginnings of the freedoms we have slowly being taken away. I don’t know about you but I do not feel it is the governments job to force me to give my personally financial accounting information to the IRS so they can take my premium share from my account when I can’t afford to send it in. Yea this is really going to help the middle class become poorer and the poor to be in devastating poverty. Woo hoo!!

Speaker Nancy Pelosi seems more interested in getting her name placed in the history books for passing health care than listening to the people. On this very page, 22% users support this bill. Question – is she suppose to speak for the will of the people or the will of Speaker Nancy Pelosi?

This is not representation of the people. This bill will break this countries back financially. Please listen to Caterpillar which is the world’s largest producer of construction and mining equipment among other major manufactured equipment. This bill will cost them $100,000,000. What do you think will happen to jobs and economic prosperity once this cost has to be paid by them? This is irresponsible legislation.

Stop this nonsense now!

THERE ARE MORE IMPORTANT THINGS THAN A POLITICIAN GETTING RE-ELECTED.
THE TV ADS ARE LYING. STEELE IS LYING. HE IS AN INSULT TO THINKING PEOPLE EVERYWHERE. HE IS BEING USED AS A TOKEN.
PEOPLE WHO CANNOT WORK RIGHT NOW, WD WORK IF THEY COULD GET JUST BASIC HEALTH CARE. MORE WOMEN WILL HAVE ACCESS TO BREAST CANCER PREVENTION AND TREATMENT, ETC., WITH THIS BILL. Including me.
THE LIES THAT EVERYONE HAS ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE ALREADY ARE UNCONSCIONABLE. EVEN I CANNOT AFFORD HEALTH CARE, AND I AM AN ATTORNEY WITH A SMALL PRACTICE. I SUPPORTED PRESIDENT BUSH. NOW I SUPPORT PRESIDENT OBAMA.THE INSULT TO OUR COUNTRY AND OUR PRESIDENT BY THOSE WHO CALL IT “OBAMACARE.” IS UNACCEPTABLE. IF THE PRESIDENT IS FOR IT, A MAJORITY OF THESE BIGOTS WILL BE AGAINST IT.THEY ARE THE SAME TYPE THAT FOUGHT THE CIVIL RIGHTS BILL.WERE THESE RACISTS RIGHT? NO. AND THEY ARE WRONG HERE TOO.

nmeagent 03/19/2010 4:55pm

All of those who support this bill and others like it would do well to keep in mind that a very large number of us are not going to cooperate with this unconstitutional nonsense despite its expected passage this Sunday (or whenever). As Thomas Jefferson has said, “An unconstitutional act is not law; it confers no rights; it imposes no duties; affords no protection; it creates no office; it is in legal contemplation, as inoperative as though it had never been passed.” We shall resist to the last and there’s not a damn thing you can do about it. Good luck forcing us all to purchase health insurance simply because we exist; you’re going to need it.

The federal government should neither bail out banks nor meddle in the health care industry. Neither are permitted by the Constitution.

Just vote “YES”, this is absolutely ridiculous that we can bail out the delinquent banks, but we can’t provide affordable health care.

thegiftedbee2 03/19/2010 11:00am

1.) 1/3 of the doctors have threatened to quit practice which means 32 million more people waiting in long lines for “quality” health care.

2.) I do not want rationed or socialized medicine. I don’t know of any Americans who run to Canada for health care.

And…
3.) I’m pro-life and shouldn’t be forced to pay for immoral women to have kill their babies.

BTW….November is coming and we will all know which way they voted. Remember they work for us, not the other way arround.

VoteNoDem2010 03/16/2010 8:02am

It’s a dam shame we the people have no say even with so many people saying we don’t want this they still don’t care. It all about government control and now they also added the student loan bill as well which is just another government takeover. I for one do not want to think about the day when I have to call a government official for customer support. We are all taking note on who votes yes to this thing because now they are ramming two take over down our throats…

Typical government – stonewall everyone who is against something they want. Even if this doesn’t cause a nationwide revolution, their idiotic minds will be gone come election time.

What about healthcare that nobody knows for sure(at least according to my knowledge, or has conflicting amounts that varies from 1 to 9 trillion?
How about healthcare that makes sence.
