    NO!

Oh, this bill isn’t that bad. Guaranteed coverage, prohibitions on pre-existing conditions and life-time and annual limits, … The establishment of Gateways and Navigators is a seemingly feesible Public Option.

This bill is an infringement on my freedoms and liberties. Any public option, no matter what you call it is intrusive and should never be allowed in a free republic. But we all know or free republic is disappearing before our very eyes. The Dems will own this piece of garbage bill if it passes. Of course, they’ll blame Bush or some other conservative or republican organization or entity for it’s inevitable failure, even if it is passed.

Why should the medical insurance companies be the only source for health care coverage? Public health care insurance should be allowed to compete with the medical insurance companies for all those new clients.
A free republic should represent the people not only the profits of corporations. Corporations all ready control the media, and congress. And we the people need to be heard; we need health care; jobs; and education. Think about this; America is the only developed nation that does not have national health care, this makes U.S. products at a disadvantage trading globally.

But yet every country that has a national heath care system looks to the US and regards it’s system as superior.

This bill would require you to have insurance, it doesn’t tell you which one you have to have.

This is why the public option is so important.

The public option is just another way of putting the burden of individuals who cant afford coverage on the taxpayer. It is Government run and anything that the individual cant cover cost wise is covered by the taxpayer. This is wrong.

The whole problem is it will REQUIRE you to have insurance. This is the first time that I can think of that the land of the free is being FORCED to purchase a product. Now call me crazy but has anyone stopped to see what this is doing for the insurance company profits?? If insurance is the bad guy according to the Administration and Congress then why are they rewarding them with more profit?? Just one observation of many that I have.

This is not the first time American’s have been forced to buy a product, in some states automobile drivers are forced to buy auto insurance. This is why the public option should be available for all Americans, then there would be competition and lower costs. Call Congress demand public option be available to all Americans. Why should the medical insurance companies be the only source for health care coverage? Public health care insurance should be allowed to compete with the medical insurance companies for all those new clients. `

That is a ludicrous argument. Car insurance is only mandatory for those who own vehicles. Meaning, you can not own a car and not have to have insurance. Your not forced to have walking insurance, to protect you while your walking some where, or bicycling insurance to protecting you while your riding a bicycle.

Come on, that argument is like apples and oranges. They don’t fit.

I don’t understand why anyone would be against health care reform. The CBO has already proven that both the House and Senate bills would provide 94-96% of Americans with health care coverage, save tax payers money, and make it illegal for medical insurance companies from preventing individual from getting coverage. In my opinion if you are opposed to health care reform you are in favor of extreme profits for the medical insurance companies. Single payer is still the best idea for health care reform, too bad so much money controls congress. This is why everyone should call congress everyday until we get a bill on the President’s desk.

First of all… this isn’t health CARE reform. It is health INSURANCE reform. The President, Speaker Pelosi and others have all referred to it as such. So don’t be confused.

People don’t want it because the bill is too intrusive, it is yet another program put together by corrupt politicians who care nothing about their constituents and only care for their campaign contributors, and it’s cost is way too high. Not to mention it does nothing to fix the status of health care coverage in this country!

If Congress puts together a bill that institutes insurance reforms that prohibit denial of coverage based upon age or pre-existing conditions, reform health care to prevent fraud and lower costs of health care for routine exams, check-ups and tests. All of this while NOT making insurance coverage mandatory.
