So then I wonder, how many of these fake ads are clogging the job lists and the people who add up how many jobs are currently available are including these in their count? Like we need any more inaccurate data about jobs!

As for selling bumper stickers and CafePress stuff, I’m used to that from working with political groups who use that for raising campaign cash. OverThrow’s bumper stickers for $3 for the election, if he sold his goal, it would just about cover the cost of what he says he’s giving as a vacation package prize. His is not an official contest, so I don’t even know if he knows if it’s legal, and we would have to go on blind faith about his prize validity, but I wouldn’t mind a bumper sticker that reads like his, so it’s not a big deal to me if he were just selling them.

So when I do read these paid-links blogs, I’m wary of their journalistic skills, but I’m also aware that they really, for the most part, are not making a killing on these things, and at least in part, many of these things are a labor of love or a sincere effort to help others or even just an effort to help themselves survive in the absence of any real jobs out there.

    (Sorry for the length!) :)

Heh, apparently nobama4me has plenty of time to create 50+ accounts of his own, just to uprate his own comments and downrate those he cannot stand/agree with.

Here’s an interesting article “The Middle Class in America Is Radically Shrinking. Here Are the Stats to Prove it.” It explains what’s happening with middle class jobs in America.

And one can only wonder…………Why didn’t the voters see and understand that it was inevitable this would happen when Pres. Clinton pushed for NAFTA? It was so obvious (especially if you have been in those third world countries). China is a frigging Communist country for crying out loud. And China Payed millions into Pres. Clinton’s campaign fund. How could any American not know what was going to happen next? Those countries have been dealing in “genuine imitations”, counterfeit goods for over a decade. And dealing in the black market. NAFTA made the black market legal. The politicians our selling out America, and Americans also. And no laws seem to be able to stop them.

I have heard statements that the consumers also allowed it to happen by not buying only American products but the consumers knew short term that they would get ahead by buying the cheaper products from other countries. Now we are paying the price for this with all the manufacturing going overseas.

Pelosi in the House says no more tiers

Nancy Pelosi, Democratic Speaker of the House was very clear. In a news conference at the end of May a reporter asked Pelosi is Congress had any plans to help Americans who had been out of work for more than 1 year and 9 months (the 99ers).

Her answer was swift and decisive. “No.”

I HOPE she gets whats coming to her.. soon!!!!

That was back in May, sally. It’s old news and seeing the way things have gone this last week or so, I am definitely sure her tune is/has changed.

When you find something that is recent where she says the same thing, please post it.

    need some input:

My sister went on an 2nd interview last Monday for a hospitality position, they told her a decison would be made by the end of the week and they still had one more person to interview. It was between the 2 of them.

they also stated H.R. takes there time getting back to the candidate they chosen?

How long should she wait to call?

If she hasn’t heard anything by Monday then call them on Tuesday. You should never call on a Monday because it is usually a businesses busiest day.

If those of us over 55 are not going to be able to get jobs then the government needs to lower the retirement age to 55 and let us start collecting our social security benefits so we have something to live on.[/quote

A little humor for this crap situation!

Due to the current financial situation caused by the slowdown in the economy, Congress has decided to implement a scheme to put workers of 50 years of age and above on early retirement, thus creating jobs and reducing unemployment.

This scheme will be known as RAPE (Retire Aged People Early).

Persons selected to be RAPED can apply to Congress to be considered for the SHAFT program (Special Help After Forced Termination).

Persons who have been RAPED and SHAFTED will be reviewed under the SCREW program (System Covering Retired-Early Workers).

  • sassysally50 07/26/2010 1:59pm

A person may be RAPED once, SHAFTED twice and SCREWED as many times as Congress deems appropriate.

Persons who have been RAPED could get AIDS (Additional Income for Dependents & Spouse) or HERPES (Half Earnings for Retired Personnel Early Severance).

Obviously persons who have AIDS or HERPES will not be SHAFTED or SCREWED any further by Congress.

Persons who are not RAPED and are staying on will receive as much doo doo (Special High Intensity Training) as possible. Congress has always prided themselves on the amount of doo doo they give our citizens.

Should you feel that you do not receive enough doo doo, please bring this to the attention of your Congressman, who has been trained to give you all the doo doo you can handle.

    Sincerely,
The Committee for Economic Value of Individual Lives (E.V.I.L.)

6 million (or more) 99ers by the time the end of November arrives

Department of Labor reported that an estimated 200,000 individuals per week were losing benefits during the just-ended benefits extension crisis, it would be safe to say that by the time the end of November arrives, there could be as many as 6 million (or more) 99ers.

Yes Pelosi is a Democrat we ALL know that BUT what is also factual is that if their was a REPUBLICAN Administration the Unemployed NEVER would have received ARRA of the Stimulus Package that got us the EUC/TIERS for 50+ weeks so when it comes to Pelosi,Reid and the Democrats in general compared to the Republicans as a whole! " LESSER OF TWO EVILS = THE DEMOCRATS" Lets not forget what political party was in the White House when this economic crisis was building into train wreck culminating to this RECESSION! 99ers UNITED!!
