Isn’t this somewhere near Socialism? History would teach us to stay far, far, far away from socialist enterprises. But then, why would we ever listen to history? That would be way too clever. Competition is necessary for growth and development; thats the only reason anything ever got invented. Take away the competition and there is only apathy and dependence. The founding fathers hated to depend on the British. Should we not fear dependence on the government?

Outrageous. If they want to help the middle class by providing tax relief they should consider Fair Tax. To offer fairness they should take a step back from the programs and allow us the FREEDOM to create and either succeed or fail with our own American Dreams. I agree with Hank also, workers should be afforded the choice of opting out of a Union without adverse consequences.

This is ludicrous. It is NOT the responsibility of the government to improve the lot of middle class America. I am pretty sure this legislation falls in line with the monumentally inaccurate concept that everyone is a winner. No. America became great because there was sincere competition and everyone worked to get ahead. Bear in mind that with this mindset, ours is the first generation of Americans that cannot offer a better lot for the next generation.

(6) restoring fairness, prosperity, and economic security for working families by ensuring workers can exercise their rights to freely choose to form a union without employer interference;

They should amend with a provision allowing any worked to opt out of a union.
