Nice, it looks like a little common sense is wearing off on the Senate too !!!!!

We have got to pass this. The fed. was unconstitutional to begin with. Why should we have our currency go everywhere with out us knowing where it went?

Unfortunately, the tool of the Fed, Chuck Grassley of Iowa has pencilled in amendments that would gut the Bill. Write him here and tell him what you think http://grassley.senate.gov/contact.cfm

Dear Grassley: As banking was not an option for the issue I am writing about it seems government oversight is the next best thing, as you being in the government must have had an oversight when you decided to pencil in changes to S604. It was perfect how it was and any attempt to modify this bill is a slap in the face of the people you represent. Any attempt to modify this bill shows where your loyalties lye, which in modifying this bill are surely with the shareholders of the Fed. I do not require a response as I do not live in your state but currently S604 has been sitting in the senates lap with no actions or support. Even though I have written both of my senators numerous times, neither of them have deliberately defiled this pivotal bill. You must support, cosponsor & vote yes on this bill as is!

I can’t find amendments on Thomas. Do you have the text of the changes that Grassley wants to make?

  • Ocyris 06/03/2009 6:41pm

Keep your eyes open, Charles Grassley is a traitor who is trying to quietly gut HR 1207. Accept no amendments. DO NOT BE FOOLED!

  • pamber00 06/11/2009 6:38pm

    Dear Grassley contd:
Furthermore you need to get other senators to support it as well with the same amount of force that HR 1207 was supported in the House. Our representatives support us, and so do you as a senator. If HR1207 passes in the house & S604 its counterpart does not pass in the senate, you and our senators are NOT representing the best interest and wishes of the people you represent. If The federal reserve is not audited then we will know in-definitely that our senators are corrupt & in the pockets of the federal reserve shareholders. There is no reason for less important, menial bills to be passed through without any cosponsors as our economy is in such a dire state while this bill sits by the wayside.

Don’t let the Senate gut the bill! It’s time for a revolution.

I believe every dime should be accounted for , because after all it is the peoples money . We are audited by the IRS , why not the fed . “Trying to hide something” !

I Disagree—I don’t think ANYTHING could bring common sense to the upper house; especially after that little weasel from Pennsylvania jumped parties; it wasn’t bad enough that he would make a mockery of his membership in the Republican party[as if anything resembling Conservatism exists in that party,] but he had to align with the Unitary Executive branch, JUST as Suitor was stepping down…can you say “Hat Trick”? This once-great Republic is in Deep, Deep Decline, with little hope of salvation. Pray—Pray Hard, Fervently and without ceasing, as St. Paul would say.

The senate long ago abdicated responsibility for our money, or should I say Congress. There are suggestions that the central banker cabal are the ones responsible for Lincoln’s assassination due to his remarks/position on doing away with the Fed Reserve. Kennedy had similarly expressed misgivings…need I say more? We are asking for an AUDIT of taxpayer money. Let’s have it!

The Fed (which is not even a government agency, but rather a private corporation consisting of mostly foreign bankers and answers to no one) dictates America’s financial policies and is the obvious conduit for the banking elite to control the financial world. The Fed’s lack of accountability and transparency is no longer justified by its record or sound principles or public policy. Granting the power without asking the tough questions would be following the path of least resistance ~ Has any thought been given to refocusing on a financial services model that has more smaller institutions and fewer mega banks, thus diversifying risk?

The majority leader doesn’t want to put the bill on the floor so Jim DeMint (R-SC) keeps tacking it onto other bills, mainly appropriations as they are pretty much guaranteed to pass, as amendments. It keeps getting removed as it is an unrelated add-on in violation of Rule 16 according to Reid (who’s getting ticked off about these attempts) but eventually, I think it will stay on and not violate any rules so the Senate will have no choice but to accept it or challenge it on sectional grounds, which would make them look pretty bad as people on both sides are pretty vocal on this issue.

yes I noticed that ECONOMY wasn’t even a mult-choice category on Barbara Boxers’ website. How funny is that!

  • RonBot 08/03/2009 5:05pm

This is OUR money! We have every right to know who and why it is being printed and distributed. The only reason I could imagine why someone would not want us to know, is if there is an organized group who are filling their own pockets. We must DEMAND the books to be open for all taxpayers to see!

Why just 2010? Why not xx/xx/2010 & each biannual anniversary.

I just got off the phone with my Senator’s aide (Senator Lautenberg at 202-224-3224) to ask why Senator Lautenberg hasn’t co-sponsored S 604. The aide stated, “I don’t know the Senator’s thought on S 604.” Are you KIDDING ME. The bill was introduced over 6 months ago. Is the Senator still breathing? Half a year and no thoughts? I think the aide would’ve done the Senator just by simpling stating ‘the Senator has no independent thoughts’.

  • Reppenhagend 05/10/2010 11:01am

Information not up to date here. For example, 604 has 32 (not zero) cosponsors (see http://www.govtrack.us/congress/bill.xpd?bill=s111-604).
