Resolutions: House of Representatives

Expressing the support of the House of Representatives for efforts to increase diversity in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and recognizing the Association for Women in Science (AWIS) for its 40 years of service to broadening the participation of underrepresented groups in STEM.

Calling for an end to the violence, unlawful arrests, torture, and ill treatment perpetrated against Iranian citizens, as well as the unconditional release of all political prisoners in Iran.

Roosevelt and supporting the goals of the Japanese American, German American, and Italian American communities in recognizing a National Day of Remembrance to increase public awareness of the events surrounding the restriction, exclusion, and internment of individuals and families during World War II.

Honoring the life of David Kato and all who are victims of violence in Uganda because of their sexual orientation or gender identity.

Expressing support for the Republic of India to gain a permanent seat on the United Nations Security Council.

Commemorating the city of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on its 100th anniversary.

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that the United States should initiate negotiations to enter into a bilateral free trade agreement with Turkey.

Supporting the goals and ideals of National Engineers Week, and for other purposes.

Congratulating Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., on the historic milestone of 100 years of serving local and international communities, maintaining a commitment to the betterment of mankind, and enriching the lives of collegiate men throughout the United States.

Expressing the sense of the House of Representatives that defense systems, including the helicopter fleet used to transport the President of the United States, should not be procured, directly or indirectly, from an entity controlled, directed, or influenced by the Government of China.
