Elena Kagan gets approved by The Senate Judiciary Committee. Sen. Schumer (D-NY) is rated the most active member of Congress. House and Senate Dems go back-and-forth over the delay of the food safety bill.  And President Obama urges Congress for legislation on equal pay for women. Not surprisingly, the vote over Obama's $3.6 trillion budget (H. Con. Res. 85) tonight was a deeply partisan affair. Not a single Republican voted in favor. Republicans have been very good this session of Congress with holding their party together in opposition to the Presidents' most significant measures.
