The bill summary uses the terms "radicalization" and "violent." Does anyone know how the bill defines those terms? At one time, labor unions, womens' suffrage, ending segregation, and opposing the Vietnam War were all seen as "radical" ideas. If a strike picket line tries to block scabs, is that "violence" as defined by this bill? At one time non-violent sit-ins at segregated lunch counters were accused of violence against the property rights of the owners, is spray-painting "polluter" on the wall of a chemical plant violence as defined by this bill?

it's so important that people are aware of bills and what they entail because many bills really do govern our lives. those who have been innocent victims know this best. laws shouldn't necessarily be made to rule out the extremes of any given situation, but should make sense according to how most of us live and want to be able to live. </content>

the definitions seem broad regardless of there being one. this comes from the bill text:

This bill is unnecessary. Most forms of violent protest are already illegal, as are vandalism, and conspiracy to incite any of the above. Why must we label these things as terrorism?

Not to mention that this bill blames the internet for "providing access to broad and constant streams of terrorist-related propaganda to United States citizens." You might as well blame cars for transporting terrorists, or the air for providing oxygen.

It's also interesting to note that even though S 1959 is still in committee, parts of it are already being implemented - funding for which was appropriated by the House. No Senate approval, but the bill goes forward anyway - likely to be brought to the floor when they believe it won't be noticed.

Luckily, with the SF Chronicle breaking the silence on S 1959 and DHS's EndGame, millions of Americans are now aware of - and voicing their outrage and demanding answers on the implications of this odious legislation. Nevertheless, parts of the Bill are already being implemented - and this is a matter that we need to melt the Congressional phones lines with constant demands for its end if we expect to make a difference.

Evidence and substantiation that the Bill is already being implemented: http://justanothercoverup.com/?p=389

Please take a close examination of the characters behind this bill, as I have. I hate to make this about race, but these are the facts: they are all Jews, Israelis or Zionists with strong ties to quasi-governmental think-tanks, Israeli intelligence fronts, or Jewish Non-Profit organiations.

Facism is making its way to America. This bill gives the government all the power it needs to do whatever it wants. "The term `violent radicalization' means the process of adopting or promoting an extremist belief system for the purpose of facilitating ideologically based violence to advance political, religious, or social change." This is quoted directly from the text. The government determines what "violent radicalization" really is. The extremmist beliefs are any beliefs other than their own. You might as well start saying "Hail Bush!" </content>
