I wish that the people that write these bills would take the time to actually get on the ground level, and go to a show. (Anything else is talking out of you hoohoo.)
I cannot say what goes on in other areas of the country, but I know in my area, you have to be a licenced gun dealer to have a table, or, sell only other(non-guns, I.E. gun cases, cleaning gear, etc).
(they are more strict in searches before you enter the place than most airports I have been to.)
If people are caught trying to sell guns in the parking lot, the police are called (Already there patrolling the parking lot.) and the person/persons are called in right there on the spot. (to see if they are criminals or engaged in criminal aactivity.)
Also, the part about preventing crime with the Brady bill is not entirely true. Yes it has prevented sales. One sale that was prevented (For over 45 minutes.) was to my borther in law. He has a fairly common hispanic name. Once they figured it out, (On the spot call the the FBI that is the law.) He got to buy it. How many of these types are counted when they say that they "Stopped" purchases? For that matter, what about other types of paper work violations, that have nothing to do with being a criminal?
Go to a gun show...see for yourself.
