I am trusting a country which was founded with prayer in the meeting of the continental convention drafting the constitution , would not violate the Christian conscience of the nation by restricting the free speech of ministers in the pulpit. Reprobation a means believing wrong is right and right wrong. To force ministers to leave out large portions of the bible would not allow the faith upon which this nation was founded to be taught. This brings an endorsement of reprobation in the chambers of government. It is wrong to descriminate regarding color, creed or sex in the nation, but the chruch needs to be free to teach the Bible. I fear we are moving toward a worship of democracy, the new idolitry.
Rev. Dr. William Schillereff

EXCELLENT--then, in That case, Speech does Not need to be legislated; because All speech is protected, except that which presents CLEAR AND PRESENT DANGER; and I don't plan to be shouting &quot;'FIRE', anytime soon, in a theater.&quot;
Thanks for pointing up another reason why this legislation can be dispensed with NOW.
The only use I'd have for this bill, if it came to a vote, I am sure that rat-b*stard, two-faced lizard Arlen Specter will have No compunction in voting Aye--against the will of his constituents...and Specter is OUT as of 2010.

If I may, the Bible says so little about sexuality, why bother. If God had said anything about 'homosexual men' or 'lesbian women', would he have been so judging. Sexuality is truely not a choice. For centuries, monistaries have housed and employeed the 'Eunochs' monks. Have you ever wondered why, could it be because religous spirited people drove these people into that corner. The only choice for lesbians or homosexuals is &quot;do I engage in a sexual life that pleases me, or do I abstain.&quot; This is where swinging came from. Couples maried, then one encouraging the other to invite other sexual partners into their sex life. Which is the worse sin? </content>

Are you talking to me? Because I was actually agreeing with you. People who preach that God is not going to allow gays into heaven overlook the verses that say He's not going to let liars, thieves, adulterers in either. Because we are ALL sinners and totally depraved, He sent Christ to die for our sins so we could enter heaven and not suffer His righteous judgment.

&quot;The problem with this bill is that a state-mandated framework for eventually persecuting Christians is being silently put in place. If you do not begin to actively stand up now, your pastor, who recites the Holy Bible, and you, who listens to it and believes in it, will possibly end up in jail for inciting &quot;hate&quot;.

Notice the abstract nature of this word - &quot;hate&quot;. Sounds like someone really hates Christians - with real hate - and wants us persecuted, just like during the times of the Soviet Union or the ten persecutions of the Roman Empire.

Wake up now!!!&quot;

Please, do not delete this comment. It was in 1st place on this site. If this bill passes, all that remains is to insert a clause that criminalizes &quot;incitement of hate&quot;.

Then, the New Testament can be declared &quot;hate literature&quot;, and pastors and God-fearing Christians sent to the gulags. </content>

I just love how they say &quot;The Constitution does not protect speach...&quot; Nice that they can finally inform all of us dumb citizens that the constitution doesn't protect all speech.

Actually it does. Under the constitution, you can say as many hateful things as you want. They can't prosecute you until you ACT. Did you ever see The Minority Report? That's what this bill reminds me of. </content>

Actually I am not saying it is right or wrong for you Christians to preach what they do... their god will judge them.. thats not my place. Though I must say that I have never read in my christian teachings about it being ok to hate and judge others. Whhen it comes to committing or inciting acts of violence, that is not only against Christs teachings, it is against our societies laws. Christian or not, you are not allowed to commit these acts. </content>

Jesus Himself said that no man takes His life. The Bible teaches that God killed Jesus.

And you're right, it's not your place to judge whether or not homosexuals will inherit the kingdom of heaven, and it's not my place either, it's God's. And He says they will not. Along with liars, blasphemers, adulterers, idolaters, etc. We're all in danager, not just gays.

The law adds to a protecting existing group of citizens including Christians. If Christians are being prosecuted, then evidently they are acting with hate (something forbidden them) and/or are prosecuting violence, something intolerable in this or any law abiding society and something Christ would not condone. </content>

Yes, Christ was sacrificed for our sins and transgretions, you need to get off the cross and stop trying to put me or my friends on it. Why don't we let God do the judging while you sit and pray. I know by your inability to grasp the substance of this legislation, you are incapable of understanding it because there is no danger, only responsibility.
Keep in touch with Jesus, youre going to need a good attorney when you come in front of the final Judge for all the evil you are preaching. </content>

Tina is my good friend, so I will respond for her..... You are another right winger who could benefit from a course in reading comprehension, try &quot;Hooked on Phonics&quot;, given that you clearly have not read the new law. For if you had you might realize that it does not provide the sentencing guidelines for a conviction. It provides federal resources to be used to assist in the investigation of a hate crime.... big difference there. You might want to try reading a law before you pretend to be an expert on its effects... </content>

1 John 3:9 No one who is born of God practices sin, because His seed abides in him; and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Leviticus 18:22 Do not practice homosexuality, having sex with another man as with a woman. It is a detestable sin.
1 Corinthians 5:26&#8230;God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. 27In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion. 28Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, he gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. 32Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
